Sunday, December 14, 2008 Makan Angin It was a long ride (duh) to Cameron Highlands. And gosh, you cannot imagine how cold it got in the bus. I could not even sleep and was shivering away. The only time I felt comfortable enough sleeping was when we were at the foot of Cameron Highlands and were stopping for subuh prayers and breakfast. Only then, did I get a few winks in the bus. After which, we went down, had breakfast and prepped ourselves up in the toilet. Yep, no morning shower. Not to worry, we were all still smelling good. Haha... Once the bus started to move off and take on the mountain, I was all fresh and excited to reach the top. But goodness, it took us another 2 hours before we finally reached. Along the way, we saw some 'orang asli' who I think are already modernised since they attend schools etc. The roads were curvy and steep. Its kind of scary looking down. I prefer just looking at the other mountains around. We stopped at Lata Iskandar where there was a waterfall. It was really soothing. The water... I really like it. :) When we finally reached the top, we found that the weather was not really cold as expected it to be. Probably all those people who have been telling me, " Sejuk tau! Pakai baju tebal2 ! " were either exaggerating or global warming has really affected the weather conditions. We stopped at the tea, honey and strawberry farm.. I delighted and stuffed myself silly with lots of stawberry associated food! Its not always, you know! I was in heavens. My favourite was the strawberry ice blended.. Yummy!!! It rained slightly later in the afternoon and it was quite chaotic waiting for the bus to fetch us since we did not know where it was and the roads were really narrow. These bus drivers have to be experienced in driving there or else.. urm... safety not assured. Hah. At night, we went over to the pasar malam which was, hey, not bad! It was like another Petaling Street without the crowd and fierce sellers. And of course, the food sold were all lining up and its was not enough to just let our eyes do the feasting. We've got to get some for the tummy too! :) Back in the room, as I was packing up, I was sighing away when I realised that I have already bought plenty of things and they were occupying quite some space! Urgh. Belum turun Kl oi...... The rooms in the hotel did not have any air conditioning ( although Mezza did say sth about some cold air coming from the washroom ). My sister actually called up the front desk to ask them how she could adjust the temperature of the room since there wasnt any remote control for the air con. The reply was, " There is no air-con, Ma'am. Its the weather." Heh... Well, anyway, my favourite part was waking up in the morning knowing that it was going to be another day of fun fun and fun! I spent most of the time in bus to KL, sleeping whilst Mezza was busy clearing up my files in the mobile phone. She was apparently annoyed that everything in there was in such a mess and took the initiative to clean it up for me. " Tak tau nak tidy up yr files ke? Apasal your songs, your pictures and videos all in one file? " Bla bla bla ... she was going on and on while I slipped into Dream Land. And of course, when we were in KL, there's nothing much to do but SHOP! Oooohhhh... :) With pleasure, we attacked Sungei Wang ( or is it Wong? ) and Petaling Street. Heheheeeeee... One mistake though... we did not buy any food for ourselves and Mezza and me had trouble sleeping because we were hungry! I woke up on Monday morning knowing that the trip would be ending soon. That was a horrible feeling. Mezza said my face looked like crap. Hahah... Time flew so quickly...We checked out of the hotel after breakfast and stopped by the chocolate and keropok factory and at around 7 pm, were already at Singapore checkpoint. Urm, over there something really hilarious happened with me but Im gonna skip that. I cant believe how confident I am sometimes. Tu nama dia confident ye-ye je. Dad picked us up at night and we went to have dinner and then it was back to our homes. I feel like planning for my next trip already. Hehehe.... ;)
