When Cik Ti told me to prepare plenty of tissue paper when reading 'The Kite Runner', I didnt heed that advice. Furthermore, these days I've been burying myself more with non fiction. So I thought, "Its just a story."
So I couldnt exactly blame anyone when I came to the heartbreaking parts of the book and started tearing. But mind you, I had to do it discreetly.. why? Simply because my reading sessions are often carried out during the long journeys to and fro the centre. I couldnt possible cry in the midst of the evening rush hour in the train, can i? So mostly, I'll just shut the book close, take a few minutes off and continue reading.

Do note, no book or author has made me wept a tear.

"For you, a thousand times over."How many of us can say this and mean it right from the heart?

I was close to ditching the book as I was infuriated with Amir's meek personality... I was annoyed with his cowardice.. But I guess Khaled Hosseini had the grand plan after all. And I was glad I stayed put.

 Absolutely touching. Undoubtedly ingenious.
I would guess that most of you ( avid readers that is ) have read the book. But if you have not, do go ahead.

Thank you, Cik Na for lending it to me. For a fiction, it has certainly and ironically, made me look at things differently.
