The weather is as unpredictable as I am..
There's no telling how we both will be in time to come..

The kids are having their examinations and its definitely a no-fun season for both them and me. Their faces are black and their eyes wonder to those pleasures of life which are out of reach at the moment. Probably their parents too, well, at least those who have that 'i-care-about-my kids'-well-being' nature and not dump them in some place, expecting them to be the next Einstein and when they do not, they go "Why are you so useless?I've done everything for you!" Yes, you sure have, I'll say.. You have done exactly all that you should have not.

We are all bullies, all in our own ways and the older we get, the bigger a bully we become. We throw out all kinds of insults to our own children when they are not able to do their work properly. We beat and bash them up when they dun do well in school. We scold them and call them 'stupid','idiot' and lots more unbearable words when they fail their examinations.

I ask, when we take that belt or cane, when we pour out all that screams and shouts, what can those children do? Can they fight back? No, physically they are not our match. In an aid to 'discipline' them, we turn violent.

Let me say.. violence does not work. And dun blame your children when they turn abusive to you later on when they are much older. Dont go asking, ''What did I do to deserve this?"

Me, im not a parent. Im not even married.. so why am i here saying all these? Thats because its all around.. Behind those walls we are living in, every single night, these things happen. I've seen them and heard them. I hate seeing a child's self esteem lost and gone after the verbal abuse he went through right in his own home. A question was asked to a group of students " Are you all smart? " A boy raised his hand and said, "No,im not. My family tells me im stupid".

Lets stop all these bullying acts. We are no better than uncivilized beasts if we do not learn how to communicate effectively even to children.

They are after all, only children. Whatever we do and say becomes their actions and words.

Or, perhaps, we should take a moment before having children especially if we do not think we are ready. We are not raising cows, its a human life for goodness sake.

And I am making a promise to myself, next time I see something similar happening again, I will not keep my silence.
