Wednesday, February 27, 2008 Women I adore I've just had a large dosage of laughter,k make it extra large, coupled with a sprinkle or two amazing discoveries over a phone conversation which lasted for about an hour with the craziest person I know, who (un)fortunately happens to be my best pal. (If you dunno who that is then you noe nothing about me. Hah.) Gee... now i cant sleep. Too much laughter is worse than caffeine.. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - So I've decided to have an entry on the 'Women I adore'.... Tadaaa..These are the women who have inspired me a lot and given me that so-called girl power. I love them nuts! ::Oprah Winfrey::I've been hooked on her shows since like forever. She makes me cry, she makes me laugh.. she makes me feel things simply through that box called the television. Really, she is amazing with the things she's done which is impossible for me to list down as they come in a HUGE number! She's my idol! Inspires me to do things and get what I want. They way she empowers women all around is wow, just terrific. And the best is, she's all about offering that little help to people around. Little help which goes a long way. She didnt get to where she is now overnight though. She had a rather difficult childhood but overcame the odds and now, she's what I'll call a POWER LADY. There's so much I've learnt, am learning and will learn from her. My my.. Just look at that smile. She can light up the entire room. And she's HOT. There's this like simple yet beautiful and elegant look she has. Plus, please, dont tell me you dont want a body like hers ( for gals that is ). She's a great actress too! Go go Invisible woman! There's nothing much for me to say except that she's taught and given me the best lessons in life not by lectures or classes but by setting examples. And simply by being the best mother in the world. There can be no other. She taught me independence ( tats really an irony as I depend on her a lot ) and she taught's me how impossibilities are just a matter of the mind. She keeps me grounded yet lets me fly and when all fails, she'll still be there standing by. The love, passion, and dedication she has to life awes me and I'll be eternally grateful towards her. So there you have it... My POWER WOMEN. Which reminds me of a question which was asked earlier this week, " Su, do you think you can be a power woman?". To which I replied, "Define power woman," and the person said, "To still charm like a lady yet be equal and respectable even in a world of men." Maybe... :) I mean Hillary Clinton is running for president right?
