Last evening, I attended a business seminar @ Suntec City. To be fair, the topic discussed wasnt all that new and I have heard the same thing from other seminars and books. Nonetheless, when I left the room, I was in awed.. not with what was taught but with the speaker. It was a lady which impressed me more. As i mentioned, the whole topic was not new to me but she still managed to capture my attention with the way she presented. She made the whole room ( about 400 pax ) laughed non stop and none of the details of her presentation were boring. Instantly, she built rapport with the audience which was crucial. She didnt even use any power point slides! If you've not known, Im not one who is easily impressed by any speaker regardless of their credentials. Thats because I am an auditory person and the tone & voice of the speaker is important to me or i'll just doze off. This lady, she rocked it. She was so confident that she could even laugh at herself in the jokes she made up. Im thinking, how does one become such a great public speaker? Practice makes perfect? In my course of work, I have to make presentations at times and I can only hope I can become as good as her one day. InsyaAllah. :) Anyways, I stopped by Starbucks later in the night and wuhooo.. guess who i coincidentally met? The top-notch, tiada tandingan perasan syiok sendiri, Cik Nurashikin. Heheeee

It was a good thing I had to leave early as we were spending more time talking to each other than the ppl we were individually with. Hah, typical gals! Black is supposed to make you look smaller right? Then how come we both look more lebar?
 :)
