I was shocked when i reached the centre @ Gombak. Dun get me wrong.. i meant pleasantly shocked.. I was extremely impressed by the decor which was done for the day and the preparations made. Everything was touched up and boards full of bold coloured words were all around. Not to mention, the walls had all these crepe paper decor which seriously added lots of life to the place. I was esthetic! All thanks to Cristina! Our newly appointed Education Executive who is now overall incharge of the west centre.

It has been ages since I went there due to our expansion @ Tampines. This year, I wasnt involved in the preparation for the Activities Day at all. Muhd kept telling me that he was so worried that it might not turn out well.. give yrself some credit mate! You rocked it! Im tremendously proud of what he has achieved together with Cristina. The whole team was down to carry out all the different activities for the kids. Our kids. There was so much laughter all around that even tho it was tiring for us to be on our feet all the time, it was worth it.

While the rest were outside with the kids doing the egg parachute ( man, i wanted to be there! ) Taufiq n me were inside the seminar room holding a talk for the parents. No not me.. I was merely the assistant.. Taufiq, he was the speaker.. Sitting down there, I remembered the very first time he attempted to hold a seminar. He surprised each and every one of us with how well it went and he's been improving every single time. He told me before how he aspires to be a renowned speaker esp for teenagers and motivate them in their lives. you are well on yr way there.. :) When he first told me that he wanted to be a Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner, I wasnt sure if it could work.. Its not easy hey and it costs a bomb! He completed the course and training and if i had stopped him then, I swear i wud shoot myself in the head coz its benefitting not only himself but many others. I really feel happy for him when i see parents looking at him as a life coach, talking to him about their children's problems. He's enlightened the rest of us alot as well on plenty of stuff and its helping us loads in developing our programme.

Kak Yati's back and despite the 10 hour flight home, she dropped by in the evening and stayed throughout the nite waiting for us to end. Die hard supporter! So glad she's back even tho its only for a while..

I reached home at 11pm physically drained but mentally and emotionally charged. Tho our Tampines branch is the one which we took a big step with, Gombak to me, will always have that special place.. coz thats where we had our humble beginnings.. From nothing, we created what we have now.. And most importantly, if we can make a difference in the lives of each of our Gem, thats one thing which you can never tag a price to..
